Birthday without Mom

Comments

Aw, this made me tear up. I, thankfully, still have my mom, but I remember the first Christmas after my grandfather and grandmother died. It felt empty, but we have started new traditions to fill the void.

Happy Birthday. Enjoy your time with your husband and son tonight. The fact that you are thinking of her and thought to write this tribute to her on your birthday keeps her alive in your memory.

Happy Birthday, Ruth! I loved your post. My son once asked me why people go to all the trouble to recognize another person's birthday. I told him it was so they'd know that other people were glad that they were born, that they are here and living at the same time as them so you both could share some part of your lives and happy memories.

Happy birthday to you. Sorry you are spending it without your mother. I always miss my dad on special days too.

I count my blessings truly..I have a loving husband and two loving grown children and they bless every day and extra special on Mother's Day!
Happy Birthday, Ruth. I'm sorry I'm late. I'm sorry to hear that you lost your mom last year too. I still have my Mom and am grateful for that. Big {{{{hugs}}}} to you!
Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes and the kind words about Mom! One very important thing we learn from moms is how to be sisters to each other, and that is such a comfort. Love, Ruth
